Three tips for Westlake homeowners
1. Clear roof valleys before the gutters
On multi-level Westlake roofs, debris packs into the valleys where two planes meet long before the gutters look full. Clear the valleys first, then the gutters, or you will be back in six weeks.
2. Walk the retaining walls after every heavy rain
Look for fresh soil at the base, new hairline cracks, or weep holes that stopped draining. Caught early, it is a drainage correction. Caught late, it is a wall rebuild.
3. Stagger service on multiple HVAC systems
Most Westlake homes run two or three units. Service them a month apart so you never lose an entire house to one bad service day, and label the filter size at each return.
